Wishing you the best for the new year!

We brought our night in with lots of fun, food, and fanfare. Thanks to some Filipino traditions, we enjoyed money in our pockets, food on our table, and lots of noise to scare out any evil spirits. Plenty of music, dance, and games filled our hearts with joy!

The fireworks glittering in fresh snow brought a new meaning to SPARKLE! What a wonderful celebration this holiday has been with my family in Minnesota.

As we hiked through the backwoods together this morning, my brothers and I reminisced about what a treat it is to be all together and how heartening it is to spend real time with loved ones. The "presence" has been even more special than the "presents!"

I'm wishing each one of you a wonderful 2009 and encourage you to spend more time with the special people in your life! I'll hope to spend some time with you ~
